À propos d'Isuru
With 9 years of experience teaching English to students aged 8 to 16, I bring both deep subject expertise and a genuine passion for helping learners grow in confidence and fluency.
I've spoken English since early childhood and hold an IELTS score of 8/9, which reflects the level of fluency and accuracy I bring to every lesson. Whether I'm teaching grammar fundamentals, preparing a student for an exam, or simply helping someone feel more comfortable having a conversation in English.
Over the years, I've worked with a wide range of learners, from young students just starting out, to teens preparing for exams, to adults looking to improve for personal or professional reasons. I know that every student has different goals and learns differently, so I take the time to understand what each person needs and adapt my teaching accordingly, rather than relying on a single fixed method.
Whether you're aiming to pass IELTS or TOEFL, build everyday conversational confidence, sharpen your grammar, or improve your business English, I'm here to help you reach your goals with lessons that are structured, supportive, and tailored to you.

With 9 years of experience teaching English to students aged 8–16, I've learned that no two students learn the same way, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all method.
My teaching style is built around flexibility. If a student needs to build confidence speaking, we'll focus on conversational practice tailored to their interests. If they need more structure, grammar rules, worksheets, written exercises, I'll build the lesson around that instead. I also pay close attention to each student's specific weak points and adjust my focus accordingly, so lessons aren't just "general English" but targeted at what will actually move the needle for that individual.
My strengths as a tutor come from this adaptability combined with near-native fluency and a strong exam track record (IELTS 8/9), so I can confidently prepare students for real-world use of English as well as formal testing like IELTS and TOEFL.
These lessons are for kids and teens (I have strong experience with ages 8–16), as well as adults. Whether you're a complete beginner, working on conversational fluency, prepping for an exam, or need business English. I tailor every lesson to the individual, so all levels are welcome.
