  Standard school lessons laid the foundation, but the real spark was sheer personal fascination. I fell head over heels for the language by diving into pop culture, music, and especially English literature, practicing daily until thinking in English became as natural as breathing.

  Agatha Christie herself—or her iconic Hercule Poirot! The moment I read Death on the Nile, I was hooked for life. Her composure, razor-sharp suspense, and ability to weave absolute brilliance out of the English language are an addiction. While heroines like Elizabeth Bennet dream of sharp independence, Agatha Christie was out there actually achieving it and redefining global literary culture.

• Is there a word, expression, tradition, or typical behavior in this culture that you find particularly amusing?

  The endless layers of extreme politeness before getting to the point! Starting every request with "I was just wondering if maybe..." as if asking someone to pass the salt requires a delicate diplomatic treaty.

• Why is speaking this language important, whether academically, professionally, or from a more personal perspective?

  Professionally, it's your ultimate passport—opening doors to global careers, corporate pivots, and remote work anywhere on Earth. Personally? It breaks down every wall. It lets you devour incredible books in their original voice, decode global music, and connect with people from every corner of the world.

• What is the main difficulty of this language and what can facilitate its learning?

  English spelling is a total wild west with zero rules and purely unpredictable vibes—through, tough, and thorough look identical but sound completely different! What makes it easy? Stop treating it like a chore. Pair it with things you genuinely love—whether that's gripping thriller novels, music, autumn series marathons, or just speaking out loud without fear.

• Do you have an anecdote related to your work or studies that you'd like to share with us?

  Back when I first started teaching in 2018, I had a student so terrified of speaking that he would literally text me his answers during our video call. Fast forward a few months of low-pressure conversational practice, and I couldn't get a word in edgewise! Watching someone completely shed their fear and find their voice is still the absolute best part of this job.

  I thrive on vivid contrasts. Give me the sun-drenched chaos, vibrant colors, and rich atmosphere of Marrakech one season, and peaceful, green European landscapes the next. Moving between different cultures keeps my perspective sharp, my energy high, and my teaching grounded.
