À propos de Mamoun
I'm Mamoun, 20, from Morocco. I study Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL and I'm currently on an exchange year at ETH Zurich.
Last year I was a Teaching Assistant for Linear Algebra at EPFL, where I guided over 150 students: correcting their assignments, giving feedback, and helping them get unstuck on exactly the points where most people give up. That experience taught me something I couldn't have learned alone. I know where students get stuck, because I've seen 150 of them get stuck in the same places.
I grew up being taught by excellent mathematicians in Morocco who focused less on memorising formulas and more on recognising patterns and knowing which trick fits which problem. That's the approach I bring to my lessons.
Alongside maths, I also teach biochemistry and general chemistry, subjects I've studied in depth at EPFL and genuinely enjoy explaining.

My lessons are built around your goal. We start by defining exactly what you want to achieve, then I design a clear roadmap to get you there.
My focus is on visual understanding and on answering the "why" behind every concept, so that you can replay the idea in your head like a short movie instead of memorising isolated steps. This is what makes knowledge hold up under exam pressure, when memorised procedures tend to collapse.

• Maths: analysis, linear algebra, basic probability & statistics as well as statistical learning
• Biochemistry and general chemistry
Who I work with:
• Gymnasium and Matura students
• IB students
• University students, including first-year EPFL and ETH students in analysis and linear algebra. Having just been through that first year myself, and having been the teaching assistant for one of its toughest courses, I know precisely what those exams demand.
• Students preparing entrance exams in biology and chemistry
Lessons in English or French, online or in person in Zurich. The first lesson is free, so we can meet and define your goals together.
