I am a student living in Paris from California. I am studying film art as part of Emerson College's Global BFA program. I have a passion for English literature, and have scored in the top 10% of reading and writing for SAT testing.

I have the informal experience of tutoring my younger brother and have helped middle schoolers develop comprehension and reading skills all throughout High School. I have a great passion for literature and I love to read all kinds of books. I believe storytelling and classic written works have the potential to greatly benefit children. I also would like to help adults learn English, as an adult I am currently learning French which is difficult. I feel that immersion is the ultimate tool to learn a new language. I believe the material must be stimulating and relatable in order to excite the student. I have studied immersion teaching strategies, and I believe in the interdisciplinary nature of language learning. You can integrate language and content by involving the student in topics which are far more relatable and compelling. There are so many more ways to learn a language than opening a textbook and just memorizing things!
