À propos de Clare
Hi! I’m Clare, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan, now based in Brussels
I have 10 years of teaching experience in Taiwan, mainly working with primary school students, and I’m currently studying for a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Development.
I’m passionate about languages, education and connecting with people from different cultures. I’m patient, friendly and always happy to explain things in different ways until they make sense!
Whether you’re a complete beginner, want to improve your conversation skills, or simply want to learn more about Taiwan and Chinese culture, I’d love to help you enjoy learning Mandarin.
Let’s learn Chinese without making it feel like homework!
My goal is not only to teach you Chinese, but to help you feel comfortable using Chinese to communicate with confidence.

*About the lessons
As a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with 10 years of teaching experience in primary schools, I believe that learning Chinese should be practical, engaging and adapted to each student's needs.
My lessons are personalised according to your age, level, learning goals and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner learning Chinese for the first time, an intermediate learner looking to improve your communication skills, or a student who wants to learn more about Taiwanese and Chinese culture, I will adapt the lessons to you.
*My teaching approach
I focus on helping students understand and use Chinese in real-life situations, rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar.
Depending on your goals, lessons may include:
-Conversation and speaking practice
-Listening comprehension
-Vocabulary and useful expressions
-Mandarin pronunciation and tones
-Reading and writing Chinese characters
-Taiwanese culture and everyday Chinese expressions
-Role-plays and real-life conversations
Since Chinese is my native language and I am also fluent in English, I can explain Chinese clearly in English when necessary. This is especially helpful for beginners who may feel nervous about learning a completely new language.
**You don't need any previous knowledge of Chinese. If you are a complete beginner, we can start from the very beginning and build your confidence step by step.
***My goal is not only to teach you Chinese, but to help you feel comfortable using Chinese to communicate with confidence.
