À propos de Davina

Je m'appelle Davina. Je vis à Cape Town, en Afrique du Sud. J'ai grandi dans un village francophone de Suisse avec une maman francophone et un papa anglophone. À l'école, j'excellais dans les langues dont le français (ma langue maternelle), l'allemand, l'anglais et le latin. J'aime la grammaire et l'orthographe et, ayant vécu dans des pays anglophones depuis que j'ai quitté l'école à l'âge de 18 ans, je suis maintenant parfaitement bilingue. J'ai toujours aimé le français et mon amour pour cette langue n'a cessé de grandir au fil des ans. Je desire transmettre cette appreciation pour le français, cette belle langue si descriptive et pleine de profondeur, de couleur et de poésie et encourager d'autres a la parler et a la comprendre mieux.

À propos du cours

La meilleure façon d'apprendre une langue, d'après moi, est de l'utiliser dans la vie de tous les jours et de la parler. Je propose donc une heure de conversation en français où nous discuterons de voyages, de travail, de loisirs et d'autres intérêts tout en corrigeant les erreurs commises et en augmentant le vocabulaire. C'est très gratifiant et motivant quand on peut commencer à utiliser une langue et voir des progrès tout de suite. De plus, le français parlé est assez différent du français écrit, donc l'apprentissage de la comprehension et le fait de pouvoir répondre est essentiel pour une communication efficace. Je peux aussi vous aider avec vos questions relatives à la grammaire, l'orthographe, la conjugaison et la lecture si nécessaire.

Parfait ! I thoroughly enjoy my French conversational classes with Davina. We talk about everything and Davina corrects my grammar when necessary and makes suggestions on how to say phases differently instead of the way I speak, to “unlearn” my bad habits when speaking French. She also sends me exercises to practice my weak grammar through which I am improving my French grammar. She recommended a grammar book to refresh my French grammar as well as recommends films and apps that will assist me further to improve my French. I look forward to my lessons every week.

Parfait ! Lynne-Davina has been an excellent help in my French learning journey. She has a clear passion for languages and this shows in her enthusiasm and preparedness for each and every lesson. I have found our lessons to be extremely entertaining and enjoyable, but at the same time I always leave having learnt something new. I highly recommend her to anybody wanting a capable guide to the French language!

Celine has a very good level of French. Her understanding of the language is excellent, her pronunciation and her ability to communicate in French are good. I'm looking forward to more chats in French so she can practice her communication skills.

I was at High School with Davina and then she studied in Zurich to become a translator and interpreter from and to French and German. You need to have great skills to do this. At the same time, she was already bilingual in English since her childhood.

I would 100% recommend her as a French teacher as I remember she was among the best students of our High School in Switzerland.
