Hello! My name is Alba. I have a Bachelor's degree in Translation & Interpreting, and I'm passionate about both languages and teaching. When I'm not immersed in my language obsession (currently, I'm learning Finnish!), you might find me hiking in the Pyrenees, watching old Eurovision shows, or writing letters to friends scattered across the globe.
Ciao! Mi chiamo Alba. Ho una laurea in Traduzione e Interpretariato ed sono appassionata sia delle lingue che dell'insegnamento. Quando non sono immersa nella mia ossessione linguistica (al momento sto imparando il finlandese!), potresti trovarmi a fare escursioni nei Pirenei, a guardare vecchi spettacoli dell'Eurovision o a scrivere lettere a degli amici sparsi in tutto il mondo.

I started giving private lessons to earn some money while studying Translation & Interpreting at university, and I soon realized that I was enjoying it much more than I had expected. Since then, I have taught English, Spanish, and computer skills to numerous students ranging from 10 to 50 years old, with whom I have formed really enriching relationships. My Bachelor's degree gives me a deep understanding of the syntax, word usage and nuances of the Spanish language, and I'm eager to share this knowledge with my students.
I like having my students share their hobbies and preferences with me so that I can make my classes as engaging and personalized as possible. Most importantly, I like to emphasize something I wish I had heard more during my student days: there are no stupid questions! I believe that the foundation of a good relationship between a teacher and their student is built on complete trust, and that's what I strive to convey at all times.
We can cover a wide range of skills: grammar, reading comprehension, writing, speaking, listening... whatever you want to improve! We'll use real-life content (articles, news, videos...) in order to learn not just words, but also fun idioms, slang, pronunciation variations, and much more!

Ho iniziato a dare lezioni private per guadagnare qualche soldo mentre studiavo Traduzione e Interpretariato all'università, e presto ho realizzato che mi stava piacendo molto più di quanto mi aspettassi. Da allora ho insegnato inglese, spagnolo e competenze informatiche a numerosi studenti di età compresa tra i 10 e i 50 anni, con i quali ho stabilito relazioni davvero arricchenti. La mia laurea mi fornisce una profonda comprensione della sintassi, del vocabolario e delle sfumature della lingua spagnola, e mi piacerebbe molto condividere questa conoscenza con i miei studenti.
Mi piace che i miei studenti condividano con me i loro hobby e le loro preferenze in modo da poter rendere le mie lezioni il più coinvolgenti e personalizzate possibile. Inoltre, mi piace sottolineare qualcosa che avrei voluto sentire di più durante i miei giorni da studentessa: non esistono domande stupide! Credo che la base di una buona relazione tra un insegnante ed il suo studente sia fondata sulla fiducia completa, ed è ciò che cerco di trasmettere in ogni momento.
Possiamo coprire una vasta gamma di competenze: grammatica, comprensione della lettura, scrittura, conversazione, ascolto... tutto ciò che desideri migliorare! Utilizzeremo contenuti della vita reale (articoli, notizie, video...) al fine di imparare non solo le parole, ma anche espressioni idiomatiche divertenti, gergo, variazioni di pronuncia e molto altro!

Alba is a great teacher!! I wanted to learn Spanish as my third language and I was very lucky to find her. She’s kind and patient, and it shows that she loves teaching her native language and that she has immense knowledge on it. It’s very nice to see young people this devoted.
