Dance & Musical Journey – More Than 17 Years of Experience
I have over 17 years of dance experience.
In 2003, I began taking Modern Jazz classes with an African American teacher and choreographer who had worked on Broadway. He taught us discipline, hard work, and the technical aspects of dance training. That same year, I explored various dance styles at our studio, including Ballet, Afro, Flamenco, Oriental, and Indian dances.
My interest in Indian dance led me to study the classical Bharatanatyam style for nearly four years under Natalie Soondrum from India.
In 2006, I enrolled in an intensive five-year daily training program at Ballet Tanz Studio M. Balzer in Frankfurt am Main. This comprehensive formation focused on Classical Ballet, Flamenco, Modern, Jazz, and Tap Dance, with a pedagogical emphasis on training professional dancers and dance educators (Tänzerin/Tänzer, Tanzpädagogin/Tanzpädagoge).
To fully commit to this training, I had to step back from performing regularly with a folkloric dance group I had joined earlier—a warm and welcoming Colombian folk dance company based in Frankfurt am Main. However, I continued to dance with them occasionally until 2009.
During this period, I also had the opportunity to learn traditional Balinese dance and other Indonesian styles. I became part of a dance group that represented classical Indonesian dances, thanks to cultural initiatives supported by the Indonesian Embassy in Germany.
Growing up with Salsa and Cumbia deeply connected me to my roots. This connection inspired me to explore the cultural and musical backgrounds of traditional South American dances. As part of this journey, I studied Argentinian folklore, including Chacarera, Malambo, and Tango, during a trip to Buenos Aires.
Working at an airport gave me countless opportunities to travel, which I used to enrich my understanding of world dances. While living in Germany, I was surrounded by Flamenco music, which led me to meet La Cali, a true Gitana (Gypsy) singer and dancer. She taught me how to sing por Bulerías and to dance with duende—that deep emotional expression so essential to Flamenco. Her philosophy of dancing with an open heart inspired me to continue studying Flamenco and to specialize in it. My passion for this art form even took me on trips to Jerez de la Frontera for masterclasses. Interestingly, my father's family comes from Seville, Andalusia.
Singing and Musical Experience
One of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my career was performing as both a singer and dancer in a musical featuring the Afro-American Jazz singer Tracy Mitchen. Music has always been a constant in my life. I've participated in various choirs and have taken vocal and music lessons along the way.
Currently, I’m part of a Gospel choir focused on African American spiritual music, and I’m in my third year of formal music training.
In 2014, I created my own group dedicated to Cumbia and traditional Colombian dances, with a strong emphasis on Afro-Colombian rhythms.
Today, I have developed my own dance philosophy and choreographic style, shaped by all these diverse experiences. I teach and share this knowledge in a simple yet profound way—focused on a deep understanding of rhythm and movement.
Dance and music are not just my passions—they are my life. And I’m excited to share them with you.

Karolina est une prof exceptionnelle, passionnée par les cours qu elle donne, elle est très attentive et douce avec ses élèves et parvient à les faire progresser rapidement par les nombreuses méthodes et supports qu elle propose . Elle n hésite pas à prendre tout le temps nécessaire , elle s'investit énormément, c est une personne digne de confiance avec laquelle tout est facile. Elle vous emmène là où vous le souhaitez et sait s adapter quand il le faut. Depuis que mon fils prend des cours avec elle, il est méconnaissable, motivé et tellement heureux d apprendre avec quelqu un de si professionnel et bienveillant, cela va bien au-delà de nos attentes, je ne peux que vous la recommander les yeux fermés.
