I'm a CELTA-qualified native English speaker with over 7 years' experience teaching both adults and children.
In Switzerland I have extensive experience teaching a range of courses to adults of all levels, including business, technical, and general English. I am well accustomed to in-company courses and the travelling involved. I have taught at some of Switzerland's most prominent companies such as Allianz, UBS, and SwissRe in Zürich, Aargau, Basel, Luzern, and Zug. Furthermore, I have experience teaching a range of classes, including general training, skills-based, conversation classes, and exam preparation such as BEC, FCE, CAE, CPE, etc.

I am firm believer in the need for teachers to be flexible and adapt their lessons to the needs and characteristics of individual classes. It is the responsibility of the teacher to build good rapport with students and to foster a friendly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. This is something I pride myself on, and which also makes my job a lot more enjoyable. I also understand that students learn in slightly different ways and at different speeds, therefore all my classes are adapted to match the learning needs of the students. I also think it important for classes to review what they have learnt in order to get a sense of the progress they've made and to really feel they have achieved something.
