À propos de Valentin
Hello! I am French, originally from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and I have always been driven by a deep curiosity about the world around me. Passionate about cultures, history, and languages, I have been fortunate to travel a bit, especially to the United States and several European countries, which helped me develop an international mindset and a strong appreciation for intercultural exchanges. I speak French and English fluently, have a basic knowledge of Italian, and I am learning German daily thanks to my family environment. Indeed, my wife is German, and we speak English at home. Our child is thus growing up in a trilingual environment, which I consider a precious richness and motivates me to share this experience with others. I am interested in many intellectually stimulating subjects, particularly science, technology, societal issues, as well as everything related to imagination — from fantastic literature to alternate worlds. I love learning, understanding, analyzing, and sharing.

I offer French lessons for English speakers, focused on real-life situations to help you master the essential basics you truly need to get by in everyday life – whether for travel, relocation, or work. I’ve lived in the USA, and I use English daily – both professionally (I work in the IT field, where English is essential) and personally (my wife is German, and English is our main language at home). My method is simple and effective: I focus on practical, real-world situations – no complex grammar drills, just clear explanations, useful vocabulary, and direct application through conversation and interactive practice. I’ve often found myself in situations where people didn’t speak French – or even the local language – but I always managed to communicate, learn, and adapt using just the basics of English. That’s exactly the approach I bring to my lessons (and the same one I’m currently using to learn German myself, as I’m currently living in Germany).
